Well we're one day on from "copyrightgate"... and although I was never going to stop writing completely, I have been sent so many words of advice and encouragement and (not for the first time) I have been genuinely flattered by comments from people some of whom I barely know.
I have no right to expect such a response but along with the support from nearer home (well inside the home...), I thought I'd let my avid readers (both of you) know the current state of play..
Something Had to Give is available from Lulu... I have also added a link from the Marilyn page of this site... not sure if it works, but I'm sure someone will let me know. The Times They Are a Changeling is also back on sale... and the photo to the left is a bit of a giveaway regarding my bio of Jean Harlow.
The book now has a new black and white cover and the back cover photo is reproduced at the end of the blog. No colourisation... so hopefully no moaning... I know that it makes little difference but this is a hobby is do solely for enjoyment and much as I'd love to make money... I haven't... and probably won't, but to me it doesn't matter. I'm starting to meet some really nice people because of some of the books I've written and that is a far better reward than a bulging bank balance...
Actually, on reflection, that isn't entirely true, but I'm sure you get the sentiment!!!
At the moment The Carpenters' Daughter isn't on sale via Lulu... I'm going to order a few copies and decide how best to make the book available to anyone who might want to read my look back at the life of this stunningly beautiful, yet ill-fated young woman.
Like I said yesterday, please keep the reviews coming... I was down yesterday... but not out... so thanks again... for reading the blogs... the books... for your comments and for helping me believe that my writing style deserves to be read by a wider audience...
All my own work... almost.
