I haven’t written a “Bo-log” in a while... so here is what will be my last one... well for a while.
I think it’s pretty clear that through her appearances and performances on The Voice, Bo Bruce has a potentially wonderful career ahead of her. For me, she epitomised the point of the show; don’t judge on the press articles, just listen to a truly amazing singer and make up your own mind.
That I suppose was the theme of the pieces I wrote at the start of the competition... and to an extent, my views have been vindicated by the public voting. Right from the start I said I had never met her and probably never would, but when Bo sings, she has that intangible quality that makes you shiver... (kind of like when the central heating breaks down only more tuneful...) and I’m sure that through her music, she will touch the lives of many in some shape or form.
For me, her highlight (in fact, the series highlight) was the truly stunning performance of Charlie Brown in the semi-final... but there are no more signing competitions for a while now, just a feast of sport... and I can’t wait. So for now... congratulations Bo... and I hope the realisation of the dream is all you hoped it would be and more... Oh and enjoy the book! Glad it reached you xx
All my own work... almost.
